Mercurius Visits Dorothy Circus

On the 27th of September, 2025, nine poets from the Surreal-Absurd visited the Dorothy Circus Gallery in London.

The meeting involved an activity called “Dream Mapping”—the spontaneous doodling on a scroll while poets read. At the end of the reading, the poets took the audience on an improvised journey, using the Dream Map for inspiration. Below is a video that captures the spirit of that improvised journey. The latter part contains fragments of readings from the anthology.

The participating poets were Ronan Fenton, Simon Collings, Marcus Silcock, Ailbhe Darcy, Natalie Shaw, Jeff Hilson, Sascha A. Akhtar, Chris Gutkind, and Thomas Helm.

The video and audio was created and produced by Thomas Helm. Many thanks to Dorothy Circus for the photography and for the dreamy space.
