Light without shadows

An interpretation of Welsh poet R. S. Thomas' poem 'A land' for mezzo-soprano, clarinet, guitar and piano.

Performed and recorded by The Braid Ensemble with guest mezzo Emily Gray.

The text is a symbolic reference to the threatened (as R.S. Thomas saw it) Welsh culture of the time (late C.20th).

Clarinet – Elliott Devivo
Guitar – Gerard Cousins
Piano – Rossitza Stoycheva
Composition/mandolin – David Braid
